VP KAD 44 EDC - Major problem

HELP!
Do anyone have any suggestions on our problem:

Checked batteries ok
Checked DYN, ok
Checked Arm for gear trottle F/N/R wire to drive changed
Calibrated gear arm ok
Compressor starts when motor is cold, stops after just some minutes.
Motor can be run on N - up to 1500rpm
Whe put in gear, and powered, copressor starts, then suddenly cuts diesel and stopps.
Fuse 7,5Amp no 1 EDC under black controll box ; blows.

Any suggestions on this problem?
Seems to be random, when it blows.

Faulty compressor clutch drawing too many amps?

Try unplugging the compressor power supply, a plug on the two wires going to the compressor, if the fuse doesn’t blow then its a failed clutch on the compressor.

I've had a wire chaffed when the bearing/clutch on the supercharger went - with a similar effect.

They're all a little bit different in how the power is supplied to the ECU. What's the serial number of your engine?

The lower fuse is the compressor one. As others have said, the issue is likely to be faulty compressor clutch.

By the way, it's worth familiarising yourself with the EDC workshop manual. It's easy for a layman to understand and will tell you how to diagnose a lot of KAD44 issues.

KAD44P-C

They're all a little bit different in how the power is supplied to the ECU. What's the serial number of your engine?

The lower fuse is the compressor one. As others have said, the issue is likely to be faulty compressor clutch.

By the way, it's worth familiarising yourself with the EDC workshop manual. It's easy for a layman to understand and will tell you how to diagnose a lot of KAD44 issues.
