Hi,
I have a broken piston at my stbd. engine (d4 300 hp EVC) at 420 hours, 8 year old, bought the boat from new, have made all services with one authorized Volvo dealer in Italy...and much more...
the mechanics told me I have two options:
1. new motor block
2. a restored motor block / from Volvo Sweden.
Volvo also gives the warranty for the restored block, which is as good as a new one, they say on their website...?
So can anyeone give me some advice? Any ideas why the engine broke? Is is a common problem in the d4 300?
