VP d4-260,, dph shift problems

Yesterday, my SB engine would not go to forward, only neutral and aft.
After loosen the cable from the actuator, to check for resistance, I started the engine, enabled fwd - actuator moved, moved lever to neutral - actuator back to neutral, lever to aft - actuator moved AND engine shut down.
For the last hours, I've been trying to start engine, but actuator stays in "aft" position, engine alarm sounds, and engine shut down.
Error trading is;
MID 187
PSID 24
FMI 7

any ideas?

If I understand your post you still have the gear cable disconnected, if so then the actuator is faulty. If the gear cable is connected then its usually the cable that needs replacing. It won’t start as it thinks its in gear.

Thank for your reply, the gear cable is still disconnected.
Then I have to replace the actuator ?

Are there any ways to bypass the fault so SB engine can be run, hydraulic pump is attached to this engine....

You could try swappingthe actuator over from the other engine to get it started then swap the actuators back over. I haven’t tried this so don’t know if the engine will stop during swap over or just give a fault alarm, but it may get your steering back. I see you are in Oslo, I am down the coast a bit near Porsgrunn.

Thanks, I'll see if it will be possible to make the swap with running engine, don't want my legs caught by the belt ??

Ligger i hjemmehavn nå, skal demontere aktuator i morgen og se om jeg får lov i den ???? hvis ikke må jeg skaffe en ny ????
