VP D4-210 hp upgrade to 225/260 hp

Does anyone know if a VP D4-210i-A can be upgraded to 225 or 260 hp spec and, if so, what is required and what would be the approximate cost?

I don't think it is available as a Volvo option, unless from a internal guy,

you could do it with one of these chip tuning boxes,

Lots of bits are different: cylinder heads, turbo, ecu, etc.
260 has a supercharger as well.
The cost would be prohibitive - it's a non-starter, imho.

I presume you normally run @ 60-80% max revs ???

when you have spent £1250 on a chip box / new prop etc I presume you will still run on 60-80% max revs.

Why not save all the upgrade cost and just run on 100% max revs. now.

I'm confident your engine will not last as long which ever option you choose but you will have at least saved the modification cost.

Actually, I normally run at 85% max revs, (2900 rpm)........but what's that got to do with it?

If you run it at 100% it wont last long
If you modify it wont last long either, but will cost the mod.
