VP D2 55 - Rydlyme circuit to clean raw water passageways

Do NOT run the engine, that's a ridiculous suggestion.

Connect from the elbow to the bucket and leave the pump running until the solution stops fizzing. That's 1-4 hours.

A cheap pond pump works well for this job.

Agreed, when I did my raw water cooled 2GM20 on Triola, I used warm water in my bucket to help the reaction, however, I followed Rydlymes advice to the letter (I emailed them plenty about the process also) and wrote it up below. Running the engine is not necessary.

The process, it would appear, for my indirectly cooled D2-55 is somewhat simpler!

I hadn't previously worked out the detail (hence my simple original question) but, armed with the write-up and the advice on this thread I can now tackle the job with confidence. Thanks again, everyone.

I may have posted this before...
A couple of years ago when I tried to flush with rydlime I used a LIDL oil change pump - it lasted about 5 mins When I dismantled the pump I found the alloy impeller housing eaten away to such an extent that the impeller vanes no longer had contact and thus could not pump.
Can anyone recommend a specific pump that will work?

I mentioned it in post #19, a cheap pond pump. Lots on Ebay, 240v or 12v.
