Ok, I admit I registered, set the boat going on Friday afternoon and then promptly forgot about it until Monday morning, by which time I had run aground (probably early Saturday evening) on the Spanish coast.

Spent most of today beating out of the bay and finally cleared some Cape or other early this evening, course now set for Straits of Gib.

Thing was, I couldn't understand why, with no other vessel anywhere near me, my ratings kept dropping like the markets last week.
So I re-registered just now, and it started me way out in the Atlantic, now placed a mere 7,800 against my original entry of 22nd thousand and something.

hmm - sounds like a plan!! I registered and set up the group .... but haven't been in more than once per day ... it's the inability to automatically change sails and course that just make the game impossible to play without spending money....

Register for the Sailonline one. It's a long race and you could still make up places. There are quite a few late entries setting off all the time.

It confirms my suspicions that it is a raffle with a car as the first prize.

Or maybe it's an endurance course with the most determined soul winning. A bit like a demolition derby.

AARRGGHH!!!!! This highlights its flowery pantaloons!! i have been trying to give it a good shout and you have overtaken me!!! i am 13200ish position.

My boat want to head back to Ibiza for a party! I am inclined to agree. Either that or i might just turn right and head back to blighty.

I would register for the SOL game, but doesn't it require a download? That rules out "office time" playing.... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
