Volvo, Yanmar, or...oars?

I had a proper Yuloh set- up, curved loom to the oar, downhaul to the deck 'n all.. Kind souls would jump in their dinghies and offer a tow, seeing me going absolutely nowhere . Bit embarrassing cos I had a perfectly good outboard

However, a decent pair of sweeps used standing up in the cockpit does work well. But not available over the counter
