Help please- I need to make a new shaft for the water pump on my old Volvo MD6a. I dropped the old one [I won't tell you where]. Volvo want megabucks for what is essentially a 3inch piece of stainless rod with a slot in one end and hole in the other.
I can make one up if I have the dimensions. I need the length of the shaft, the distance and sizes of the slot and hole from each end.
If anyone has an old shaft lying around which they have removed and replaced, would it be possible for you to measure it for me?
