Mid 1980s Volvo throttle controls. I have got a problem whereby I am not able to free rev engine, after pressing in the centre button to disengage gear. Gear lever moves forward as normal but instead of just free revving the gear still engages. I have replaced the gear select cable, but the problem still remains. Has anyone experienced this problem, or can anyone offer any advice.
