Volvo TAMD61A Service Guide

Hi all,

I have all the parts required now to service my 2 TAMD61A engines in my Fairline.

Is there any "easy to follow" guide on carrying out the service? I can work my hands around a car and tractor with my eyes closed but in this... space is a little more restricted!

Any help, ideas or advice would be appreciated. I'm looking to do the service next Saturday.

The link from Spi D tells you everything you will need to know.

If access is good these are straightforward to service. Nothing difficult or ready to catch you out.

Best to use an electric pump for removing the oil as there is a lot of it to remove.

If access is bad (as it was on my Fairline 40) then you are likely to be swearing a lot at the designers at Fairline!

Having a 20" waist with double jointed 72" arms is not essential only helpful !

That's more of a workshop manual than a service manual. You need the owner's manual.
