It can be done yourself, two people make it easier one to pull one to push. For the length that depends on model and make … I reckon they could be different between identical makes because it depends where the actuators have been fitted. Can’t remember my size exactly but one was longer than the other. Safest way is to remove old ones and measure.
Plenty of marine grease on moving bits before she goes back in. I don’t think the etc needs reprogramming as long as you use same size cables….make sure cables don’t have any sharp bends keep them as straight as possible
