volvo sea water strainer

hi does anyone know where i might be able to pick up a replacement strainer basket for a 1990 ad31a. Mines is leaking so i thought it would be a simple job to remove repair and refit but on closer inspection it has a hairline crack and has been bodged before. Had a quick search on the web but no joy any advice welcome!

Rather than pay ££££ for a new volvo one look on vetus website and buy a strainer and some hose, mount it where you like as long as its above the waterline bound to be cheaper than a vp one.

yea its looking like i might have to fit an aftermarket one but i was trying keep it on the engine as it looks a bit neater there and would save having to alter the pipework which could be a pain p.s thanks for the replies.
