Does anyone know what material (i.e. brass, bronze, DZR etc) the Volvo Penta saildrive (MS25A) seacock hosetail (and the fitting twixt seacock & alloy saildrive housing) are made from? I have a DZR seacock, but have no idea what the components either side of it are made from. The Volvo exploded diagrams show the fittings, but have no details of what they are made from. Have these components ever been known to fail/suffer de-zincification?
