Volvo Saildrive Hull Seal

Advice please folks

We are struggling to get our saildrive hull seal to stay stuck on with the recommended contact adhesive despite following all the instructions to the letter.

What can anyone recommend as as alternative adhesive please?

We just abraded the hull and seal and used Bostik.

Stayed on for >10 years.

I used the recommended 2 part Bostik, and it's been on for 2 years now., no issues yet. I did not wait the recommended time as it seemed to dry very quickly, not sure why since it was Winter in Scotland.

In my experience, if it is too cold during the process (below 5 C), the contact glue does not work well.
If you have problem getting the glue to stick to the rubber, it helps to abrade it, and most important, wipe it clean with acetone.
Probably, any PU or MS sealant will work well if the rubber is properly cleaned, and you can get it to stay in place until the sealant cures

Well we had the leading edge come away when we hauled out in Tunisia,
Trying to get the right glue there was impossible so I used sikifex , it's the only thing I had handy , two years later we hauled out and found the front edge was still stuck on but the side started to come away , so we again used siki

I used CT1, structural adhesive, sticks trains away and still allows for some jiggling around.
