I've yet to try it, but I'm assured that a weekend in the airing cupboard at home will sort them out...

If it is a problem with the LCD hourmeter, we had one on a sailboat MD22, a kind Volvo dealer at LBS told me to stick it in the oven and dry it out because they don't like damp. I didn't use the oven just the on board fan heater and it did work.

Hi, new to the forum myself, have watched for a while though
you could try siemens vdo direct in birmingham, they are a good guys as brumies always are!

I understand volvo dealers change these for pastime and they are £150 a piece.
Its the same lcd as in volvo trucks, costs about 7p in volume !
Ive met these guys as I work for a different division of siemens and have already had a pair fixed for a mate in Targa 34 so I would be pushing my luck. Worth a call though. They do have a repair centre.

VDO could not fix mine due to no spares. I was recomended to Speedy Cables in Swansea but they have just phoned and said it is not repairable. They may be able to fix yours. You can find then on the net. The Swansea branch is listed.
Where can I get a replacement at a better than Volvo price?
