Not on my boat so a bit light on details but can anyone suggest remedies to the following problem.
The bow thruster self activated, thrusting to stbd, in a marina about 5 hours after finishing a very wet crossing of the Irish Sea. It was switched off at the helm. When switched on and the joystick moved to port thrust the motor stopped. It reactivated when the joystick was released or moved to stbd. No sign of any moisture ingress at the control panel. There is some damp from condensation around the motor but no obvious leaks. The only action taken so far has been to spray contacts with WD40 to no effect.
Any similar experiences or suggestions on where best to start faultfinding?
