I have recently purchased a 1981 Fairline Mirage29. Could anyone please advise on any books or courses that I can obtain,relating to the Volvo Penta 260A V8 inboard petrol engine,and the Volvo stern drive servicing and repair.

I have a couple of books i purchased from America about the volvo penta range and outdrives, all models from 70's thru to late 80's. My Mirage has a couple of AQ130D's and 280 legs. most seem to have 270 legs. Will send you the ISBN numbers as soon as i can find them, just mail order them from any reputable online book supplier. I used Amazon.com. was about £20 plus delivery and took a week. One was Clymer, cant remember the other one. But very comprehensive in there descriptions etc. Oh and by the way. Very nice boat the Mirage, excellent value for money and get a lot in a 30 foot package. Wouldnt swap mine for the world.
