One of my Tachometers is reading 150 revs high (I have to set it 150 revs higher than the other engine) at crusing speed. I have checked this against the other tacho, and with a laser tacho on the engine itself.

Does anyone know if Volvo Penta Tachos can be adjusted to show the proper reading ?

Yes they can, or at least the ones on my last boat could. I think there was an adjustment screw on the back.

If it's the one with the digital LCD, then yes, they can be adjusted. There is 2 adjustment buttons/screws at the back.

I apologise that I don't have the instruction PDF anymore, but a Google may bring it up?

Depends what type they are. The ones on my lower helm have the old scrolling numbers hour meters, and they have a plastic plug in the back, which you can remove to access a small adjusting screw. I had to adjust one of mine this way after it had been repaired. The ones on the flybridge though, seem to have no adjustment that I can see, which is a pain as they are both incorrect!
