Tried this in practical boat with no replies,I have a Vp petrol with duo prop.My pump is now broken.Can I replace it with a similar pump I have or does it have to be the same .I have oildyne? pump with a reservoir at the bottom, which is similar and I used it on a similar duoprop drive.Can I use that?

Having just replaced ours I'd have thought it was worth a try, as it's not a difficult thing to do. It takes a while to get rid of the air in the system though.
Then, if it doesn't work you can always get the correct one from somewhere like Keypart.
They are excellent and considerably cheaper than the normal Volvo dealers.
