I have a Volvo penta 2003.
I want to know how to identify properly the model For ordering parts.
The engine is salt and fresh water cooled similar to a 2003T without the turbo.

2003. 8682220
serial 2300048878

What bits do you need? Not much changed over the production life of the MD200x series.

There was an upgrade at some point to the engine to gearbox drive plate. In5itially there was a solid drive plate and the torsionals from the crankshaft caused excessive fretting of the spline drive to the gearbox resulting in failure. The solid drive plate was replaced by a flexi drive which absorbed the torsionals and gave a long life to the spline drive. The later parts were nmade available to fit to older engines. Your part number should confirm which is fitted.

Thanks guys, but basically what I would like to know is, is which 2003 is it, T, TB, R, solas.????

The core engine is the same, the main difference is whether there's an intercooler(plus circ pump, pipework, high temp thermostat etc) which you say you have or just salt water cooling.

Its probably just the "2003".
