Volvo Penta mechanic - Port Solent

I'm looking for a recommendation....

Unfortunately, I don't have a mechanical bone in my body so rely on my mechanic to service my engines and repair as necessary. Having broken down at the weekend and had a different mechanic look over the engines I am told that the workmanship I have been receiving over the last couple of years is sloppy (at best) and it appears items that are charged for on servicing (such as air filters) have not been changed.

I therefore need a mechanic that I can reply on (and one that preferably does not charge the earth) and hope that someone can make a recommendation?

I have just moved to Port Solent and don't have any contacts although I know motortech are based in the marina but any recommendations would be appreciated.

volvopaul is one of the good guys, I was birthed next to him in the hamble gave me lots good info about my boat
As I said though on monday get the temporay bits replaced before you go out again.

wonder if he works for the same beer rates as me..???
