Volvo Penta MDI box

Further to a new forumite writing for help about these boxes. Has any one else suffered from issues arising from these boxes? Also does any one have an old duff one that I could have to cut open to see what exactly is inside please?

I have recently received a letter from Volvo stating that they have an issue with the MDI boxes on certain D1 & D2 Engine Numbers.

As mine is still under warranty they are replacing free of charge.

Not sure that helps much.

Thanks, Ive seen the recall notice and list. There seems to be a lot of chatter on the net about serial failures and was hoping to get my hands on a knackered one to poke around inside to see what is failing.
