Does anyone know where I can get a workshop manual download. The only ones I can find have pages, obviously the ones I want at the moment (bleeding the engine), missing?

I also checked the Perkins equivalent book I have on pdf, and it does not have bleeding details either- strange.

I haven't seen another thread re your filters, however, you may be interested in an Ebay seller of a complete service kit for all versions of the MD2020; the kit includes oil filter fuel filter, drive belt, impeller for the water pump for £41.50 + delivery @ £6.
The Seller has an ID of westerly-sailor(5742 *). he's not available until after the 13th Jan but Orders placed on the 17th delivered next day(quote) Seems like a good saving.
Search under 'Volvo Penta Marine Diesel engine Service Kit' .
If only an Oil filter required I got mine from www.inlinefilters.co.uk priced @ £4.52 but as the delivery charge was £6.95 I ordered 2 off for my MD2010A. There is a cross reference on the website and I believe an option for a long or short 'barrel', the short one being 3 1/2" long.
Their phone No is 01579 321351 for a verbal quote.
