Can anyone help with information on the above engine, I belive its a re-badged honda engine????????
The caseing is stamped 197cc No BF 75-6001436
Could the engine be honda's BF8???
I just brought the engine at a boat jumble as it comes as a sail drive unit and would seem to suit my needs, but I would like to service and overhaul the engine befor fitting.

If it is a saildrive, I don't think peeps on the MoBo area know anything about them. Suggest you try Shutyerbutt or PBO.

Hi I have a MB2/50s, and i am desparetely looking for an impeller for it. Do you maybe know where i can purchase it or does anybody have a Part number. I know there are generic ones on the market, that will do as well because it performs the same function

you can change the engine by any 7,5 - 8 or 10 hp outboard Honda engine from a few years ago.
The only option for an new enigine is to buy the current 6 HP outboard engine. Then buy the vacuum advancer bottomplate from an *hp honda and the fuel jet from the 8 former hp honda. There it is you have an 8hp brand new engine.
I you want 10 hp, then buy the two parts of the former 10 hp engine as well as the camshaft from this engine.

In holland it is still possible to buy the impellers for the mb2 50s.

You can also buy an electrical Johnson pump that lasts for a garanteed 5000 hours! (you can find these pumps also on special equipement for the Yanmar 1GM10 engine to convert it from seawater cooling to fresh water cooling)

A do sell my Honda mb2 50s because i replaced it by an yanmar 1GM10 diesel.

Beware of the fact that in official Volvo stocks wordwide there are only a mere 300 rubber rings for the saildrive available.

these 300 will became very rare quickly, because in scandinavia, there is some guy tat converts Modern Honda outboards to saildrive engines. And he also buys from the same 300 rings stock!!
