My gear shift is really stiff to go into reverse gear sometimes have to use 2 hands. Goes into forward easily and if i push the centre button to disengage gears it goes forward and reverse easily. It is a side mounted control so cant see the back.

Surely the throttles and gear selection is electronic?

Yes it is electronic so something at the back must seizing. Not sure how to take it out.

Be very careful as there are some plastic gears in there which if broken cannot be replaced. You'll end up having to buy a new throttle body and that will be £££££.

Is there a VP dealer close to where you are?

There is a 8mm head bolt behind the plastic cap , it’s the friction bolt , undo it half a turn

Is it very hard to take out the whole unit to see whats seizing.
