Looking for some advice as to this problem. The starboard engine runs perfectly. The port engine runs perfectly up to 2500rpm at this point the rev's drop along with power. all new belts fitted. What's next any ideas?

Hi
Do we assume that everything was OK before the service?

I imagine the answer is yes, then what has been changed - belts? I know that at 2500 the compressor should be almost coming out but if the belt is slipping then it will not be developing full air charge ready for the turbo to take over.
Another method of checking is to open up slowly to normal speed and see if it works OK, however that normally shows that it is the belt slipping.
As Wiggo said on his post, check that the turbo is spinning if you confident to do so (not with engine running though!)
I hope that may of been of some help, let us know the outcome.

If you have paid a marine engineer to do the service then I would go back to him, 2500 is about on the verge of supercharger cutting out and turbo boost in, there maybe issues with the intercooler air leaks, pipework leaks etc, you can adjust the relay box to allow the charger to stay in longer to help the boat over the hump.

What boat is it and what drives?

Could it be Volvopaul that the turbo has just got gummed up. I had a similar thing at the beginning of last season (KAD43's) and it solved itself when warmed up, never to return (hopefully!) so I put it down to 'gumming' up. Not done it but I guess it's a fairly simple job to 'ungumm'

I had a very similar problem with one of my KAD43's. It was nothing to do with the engine as such. The fuel pickup pipes in my tank have a fine wire mesh over the intake. It had got a bit clogged up. Washed in petrol and a nail brush and everything was sorted.

I had very similar problem with FRDC engine KAD43 .the engine cant raise rpm more 2000 and overheating occurred.all filters replaced

I had an issue with both engines - but it was down to growth on the props - unlikely that just one prop would suffer though
