Volvo Penta Green Commitment - Small Round things?

I notice the VP advert stressing how committed they to green issues and highlighting their fuel usage monitoring software. Its a bit rich since they don't provide it for free but charge hundreds per engine to get it fitted. I was quoted £1400 to have the engine data software installed and routed to my Raymarine screens.

Have they introduced a cheaper version or is this just advertising bullshit?

it' probably just to be seen to be green,but not necessarily doing anything about it.

in my experience the only thing thats green about VP is the colour of their engines /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
