Volvo Penta Gearbox Oil

So, new to me engine and gearbox. It's a Volvo Penta Md22a engine which is mated to what I believe is an MS2L gearbox. Unfortunately the gearbox ID plate has fallen off. I know the gearbox is a 2.3-1 ratio. Question is what oil for the box - some sources say synthetic SAE 75w/90, others say same as engine oil. Which one??

According to the owners manual ( which you can download from VP's website if you have mislaid your copy) the gearbox is a MS2L-E

The manual and the chart in cmedsailor's link both say 75W90, GL5 gear oil
