Volvo penta engine panels

Not sure quite what you mean by "Did VP ever do opposite handed engine panels " - my Antares with twin TAMD41s has the engine instruments mounted similarly to what Fred247 shows, but on one plywood panel (original): Large rev counter, with smaller water temp, oil pressure, and voltage gauges mirrored below (water temps in centre, then oil, then volts to the outside). If you wanted to have similar, or two separate panels, you could mount the instruments in any order you wish.

I might be tempted with a pair of those when back in stock, I was going to use separate led warning lights (with shunt on alt light) and ditch the alarm test part just use the buzzer with a few diodes but mount the buzzer behind the panel to free up space.
Currently in the "blank cutouts with bits of dial sized cardboard stuck on" stage of planning, boat is still usable in minutes so I have all winter to work it out.
