I have a 2021 boat with Volvo Penta IPS 500's. Equipped with DPS. Has worked flawlessly until recently. When engaged the boat sways side to side. Makes it's use unsafe. VP has not been able to provide any assistance to local VP Tech.
I have offered to replace the antenna. Requires software update to enable. VP will not comment about potential success. Any thoughts. Thanks.
 
@Larrybob1 - I can certainly offer a few pointers
First up, where is the boat? And do you have any engine serial numbers?
Can you also share a photo of where the DPS antenna is located on the outside, including any other items in the area - radar domes etc.
Do you have a 7" Garmin Glass Cockpit screen or the older 7" display with the round dial on the side? Again, a photo of the dash area would help if you don't know for certain
I assume there are no alarms sounding or issues?
And does the Lowspeed function work as a standalone function or do you have full propulsion even when Lowspeed is engaged?
And when you say it sways side to side, is it possible to get a video of it doing it so I can understand exactly what you mean by that?
