Volvo Penta DIY books

Did you look at the sample extract about cleaning the oil cooler?

Quote "However, the work is of such dignity that it should be left to an authorized workshop."
Do they do it in top hats and tail coats or something?

I've ordered one and will report back.

I got the manual for the MD22/TMD22/TAMD22 Series Engines: http://www.volvopenta.com/SiteCollectionDocuments/Penta/Do it yourself/22_series_eng_des.pdf

It is very clear, and well laid out. I learned several new things, so I consider it a good buy.

My only criticism is that it doesn't open flat, so I've removed the spine and will fit the pages into a 120 page document folder. As I had the pages out, it seemed sensible to scan them to make a searchable PDF.

Based on your first post I ordered the MD5, 7, 11 and 17 manual. It has no spine, just a set of 60+, stapled pages that can fold out flat, if necessary. Very clear illustrations - the electrical schematics alone are very useful. Although I thought it a bit expensive for what it is, at €44 plus postage.

I thought that looks interesting, but they don't mention my model, MD2010...

Is there something peculiar about the 2010, or is it just coincidence that they don't do one?

Likewise, could not see anything for a VP 2003, I have a workshop manual and a VP owners book, but need info on torque settings for more periphery items which neither provide.
