Hello, I changed the timing set and bought it properly, it gives a fault code of mid 128 pid 96 fmi 12 in the system. I've been searching the internet for the error codes for this, but I couldn't find it exactly, can you help?

If you Google “ mid 128 pid 96 fmi 12 Volvo Penta “ crucially adding the Volvo Penta
Throws up …..fuel rail issues highly likely a sensor or it’s wiring start there .Bad news the pump .This is generic Volvo .
Check you have buttoned it all up correct, disturbed any wiring ?

On the wider issue of timing in marine application.
In future folks when boat hunting avoid belted motors .Belts and marine diesels are not good bedfellows inho .
Alternatives are chain a close second .Second because they stretch , have tensioners that wear and break plastic embrittlement etc and prolong lack of use they dry.
By far the superior way of connecting crank to camshafts in marine diesels is good aloud fashioned gears .Look out for a base motor that utilises gear driven timing .
