I have an early (2004) EVC system, Orange flashing triangle is constant, no EVC panel (only a display window
in tachometer) had problems with diesel bug on 1st sea trial when I bought the boat, engine went into limp home mode, tank and racor filter housing removed and cleaned, new filters. Orange triangle stopped flashing,
Discovered that the new engine filter supplied by broker at time of sale (Volvo 31261191 silver type) restricted fuel flow at WOT and engine would cut out, changed filter for newer type and now all ok with WOT.
But orange triangle is still flashing, do I need a VP dealer to plug in the Vodia tool to reset the system or should it clear itself if there are no faults?

Orange should clear itself , do you have a water in fuel sensor on the bottom of the filterbowl? It could be that's faulty I've fine quite a few

Hi Paul, yes but I replaced the sensor because both pins had corroded away, the fault did clear after a few hours running and several engine starts but has come back after this last trip, there was however some water in the bowl recently, which could only have come from one of only 2 fill ups since everything was drained and the tank cleaned etc.

Hi Paul
Problem solved, it was the charge air sensor but see my post regarding big problem with Vodia tool not communicating
with the EVC......very interesting.

Is there anyway to reset the EVC system ?
I lifted my legs bug think the port leg came up under the pontoon which stopped it rising last 30 . I stopped the engine and fitted new anode on leg. Tried to start engines again to lower leg and the port engine would not start? The EVC triangle flashed orange and system said it was searching for error code, please wait, but no code came up. Any ideas on what I may have done or how to rectify this. Starboard is fine and I lowered it a bit
