Volvo penta d2-75 d2-55 raw water pump help!

Hi
Does anyone know how to strip the gear off the back of the pump so i can strip it down and replace the seals? Volvo penta d2-75 - same as d2-55 There is no clip behind the impeller wear plate.
Any assistance gratefully received!

Looks like a nut on the end of the shaft at the gear end
