Volvo Penta AQ170 (B30) gasoline 6 cyl engine exhaust collector elbow.

Intrigued ...... my original has a boss on top at manifold end that does not have a check valve in ... its closed off ...

But the new replacement has a Check Valve with sprung ball in that ...

VP agent said just use a closed valve on it as the original as I have is no longer available.

I'm intrigued as to what this check valve acyually does ...

Mechanic checked with VP service - they said just close of the check valve tube with blanked pipe or if there is an overboard - connect to that ..

All fitted and raedy to go.
