I cant see it being much different from the mercathode system. The answer is it varies from fresh to salt and everything in-between. Mine max's out at 200 mAh but will fluctuate between 25 to 100 generally probably because I'm in an estuary. If you are on shore power it's a no brainer but I dont have shore power and if I leave it on it would flatten batteries within a month. As such I rely on anodes and leave mine off.

Bruce, thanks for that. Taking your figure of 100mA, that's 2.4AHr per day or 72 A Hr a month. I will have (nominally) 270AHr battery capacity so I might see how I get on not using shore power. Thanks.

yaaaaa.... somehow those sorts of calculations just dont seem to work out with constant drain for some reason. My battery bank is 350 A/h. Maybe somebody can explain why. I'd stick a small solar panel on to cover it at least.
