Just replaced bearings, shaft, seals etc on my water pump. HArdest job was pressing bearings into place! Anyhow, pump now installed and working fine EXCEPT for slight leak on the water in and out connections. They are push-in type with rubber washers on the copper pipe that just push in to the pump housing. Do I have to replace the washers and do I have to use some sort of "gunk" to make the conncections water-tight?
Help appreciated!!!

Amazingly they are just push fit and cost a few pence. Replace them, they last a few years but while you have the pipes apart its an easy job. Some spares will be handy one day.
