Volvo morse controls slipping

So what can be done once you have adjusted the friction setting to maximum?

Was out in the Solent over the last few days and as it’s been quite rough I had to hold the levers in place once over 2000 rpm.

If I let go they slowly drop off, it can make you ache after an hour holding the wheel and the morse controls while pounding the waves.

Any practical suggestions welcome.

Morse cable brake! fit them to the throttle cables

my previous owner fitted a small "bulldog" clip, clamped to the outer to the throttle morse cable to presumably to apply some friction into the cable

morse cable brake apply untill creep is eliminated .. from asap supplies ..few pennies each
