volvo mono shift gear box. slipping in reverse.

my 1975 MS gearbox. is slipping in reverse. i have dismantled the box. and can see a wear differance between the two cone linnings. does anyone know. if the linnings can be bought loose. or part exchanged.
i have a workshop manuel covering the gearbox. but its in swedish. and a bit of a struggle. does anyone have an english version they could scan and mail.

good sailing to those who can get out.

Hi,

I have the same problem Im afraid, I have dismantled the box and the conical linings have deteriorated, I would appreciate the manual in english as I need to remove the forward gear in order to send them both to a company in the UK who can reline the housings.

If would appreciate any help is possible

Im not sure if thats the same box or not ?, Im a little confused about which box I have its definitely an MS, the engine is an MD7a, Im not sure your box would be compatible.

I will look into this and get back to you.
