My Bavaria 34,year 2000, has a Volvo md2030d fitted ,prior to purchase our surveyor recommended amongst other things,that we should clean the heat exchanger stack .This took hours of gentle tapping backwards and forwards to slide it out due to heavy deposits of salt and calcium carbonate(boat in Mallorca),we cleaned it manually and chemically,until it looked as new.The manual states that it must be fitted in the UP position,my problem is that the copper /bronze unit appears to be symmetrical with no UP sign or obvious holes to align.I cannot see how any rotation of this unit would alter its function.Can any one advise? Thanks
