Trying to find out how much my old MD2 weighs. Checked on various web sites and looked in diferent handbooks but cant find how heavy it is. Does anyone know?

Manuals are on the boat but I am not. From memory mine was approx 380 lbs with the gearbox & flywheel.

Mine are also on the boat and I am not, but 380 lbs sounds right to me also. One of us will have to go and look!

Hi,
I don't see any reference as to the weight of an md2 in my workshop manual.
How ever there is a phone number for Volspec 01473 780144. They may be able to help. Its an old book and the number might be out of date.

Hi Martin
My spec sheet says 221Kg (487lb) with gearbox attached. A lot of the weight is in the flywheel and gearbox - I removed them to change my MD11D. (with saildrive it's 238Kg/525lb)
