volvo MD1 engine fuel burn

I have just overhauled a MD1 and I would like to get some idea of its fuel consumption at cruising revs The boat is a Mirror Offshore and it has no means of dipping the tank so I would like to get some idea of fuel available on a time basis

It'll depend on many factors, but if you assumed 1 litre per hour you probably wouldn't be too far out, and would be erring on the side of caution I'd think. If you fill the tank, run for a given number of hours and then re-fill the tank, you'll be able to work out your average consumption more accurately.

I had an MD2b on a six ton boat and that only used about 3L/hr so they are right next to b**er all on you set up
