We are the proud new owners of a Westerly Konsort and have the usual learning curves to master.
She is on the hard for winter and I want to winterise the cooling system .
On previous boats (Yanmar ) I have simply switched off sea/raw water inlet, and run a fresh water hose/bucket into the sea water strainer to flush the system. I run the engine for about 15 minutes and thermostats have opened then add a bucket of antifreeze mix ((correct amount as on web site,) via strainer and continue running the engine until it has circulated ,then switch off.
Can anyone see any issues with my intentions or even suggest an easier way . many thanks
