volvo kad 32 wont start

help please
recently fitted a new battery and engine started fine but the ignition switch was left on for a couple of hours, when i noticed this i tried to start it no joy, turning over fine just wont start, little box on top of engine has a reset button which had tripped so i pushed it in but no luck, i have tried the relay in the box and that is working , where do i look next ??

I think there is a fuse not far from the control box on the engine that can blow sorry to be so vague but it's a few years now since I was involved with one of these engines

thanks cafran, i think the fuse is the reset button i'm trying to work out what that fuse protects which may be the source of my problem
