We are experiencing low oil pressure and fluctuation at idle which normalises and matches other drive when revs reach 800 in gear and above
tested with manual gauges and similar readings.
Has anyone experienced this and how corrected. Boat is now ashore for winter.
50 PSI difference

Does your ips have the hoses that go up to the remote filter housing? If so, are the pipes the right way around? Seen oil pressure alarms caused by pipes that have been installed the wrong way around. Check against other engine.

A friend has just had a IPS repaired.
Surveyor checked the pod oil condition and said internal pressure due to water ingress had forced out oil when dipstick was released.
He suggested that it was almost certainly the prop seals had failed . 100% correct.

I finally solved the same issue on my starboard ips pod. I replaced the ips cooling lines from the oil filter to the cooler with the new
conversion kit
Part no. 21551779. Not only did the pressure held at idle forward but the temperature is lower by more than 10 deg f and the pressure is 15 psi higher than the other pod. Super happy!!
