Volvo engine spares

Having just been told by a marine engineer that I need a small mortgage to pay for a thermostat housing on my MD7B does any one know where I can obtain either a discounted spare or a secondhand housing?

Incidentally how do Volvo justify these utterly exhorbitant charges?
 
Try RK Marine at Bursledon. They have been very helpful with second hand spares for my MD6B. Graham is the man to speak to. I'm sorry I don't have their phone no. to hand. Otherwise, ask round the main dealers. They usually have a few engines that they are breaking for spares. Hope this is of some help
 
Someone has got to pay for the high cost of tooling up to manufacture a small commodity, at least thats what I was told.!
