Volvo Engine paranoia

I changed my engine oil and filter at the end of last season motored 45 mins to be lifted out and have just gone back in and motored 45 mins back. I checked engine oil and it is still clean is this normal or is an oilway blocked up or am i just paranoid!! The engine is a Volvo 2003 turbo 43 hp about 17 yrs old. Any help greatly appreciated.

Ive got the normally aspirated version of the engine and it does the same. It just means you got pretty much all the old oil out before putting the clean stuff in. And yes, youre just paranoid!

I've run perhaps 6 hours since putting in a second hand 2003, and the oil's just starting to go dark, so I'd agree with Happyand Broke - just paranoid. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
