Volvo EC Control Problem

I have a Fairline Phantom 40 2004 model with Volvo Tam D63P engines with EC controls.
When both the ignitions are turned on, both green lights flash.
When engines are started the green lights are still flashing BUT the red light flashes 5 times on both engines then stops.
When drive is engaged the green goes solid on both.
Any ideas gratefully received

Thankyou for your reply.
There is no fault code coming up, just 2 flashing red lights on both control boxes in the engine room. I have tried to access an error code but there is nothing.

Yes we have just tried that, all went well as per the manual, we then cleared the flashing light on the control box in the engine room back to 00. When we restarted the engine the 5 flashing red lights are still there

Yes 2 flashing red lights on the control box in the engine room.
But on starting the engine the red led light flashes 5 times before going out and this sets off the 2 flashing red lights on the control box in the engine room.

We had a problem with the actuator being jammed but that seems to have been resolved by fitting a new gear cable.

Fault 1.1 is for full EDC engines not the tamd63p engines which are purely mechanical fuel system, this particular boat has volvos ec system which means the controls are the same as an EDC engine but still has 2 cables per engine, 1 operating the gearshift and 1 operating the governor on the injection pump.

My answer to this is maybe that the controls are working ok but the shift cables are worn to the extent that the linear drive motors are sensing an overload in operation, ie the cables are snagging beyond the torque that the motor can give safely before an overload of current occurs.

Remedy is identify the snagging cable and replace it with a new one.

The system has 2 linear drive motors per engine, and a simple computer box, all worked from a potentiometer for the throttle calibration and a switch for F,N and reverse.

Thankyou for your input.
The 5 flashing lights are now only on the s/b engine.
We started the s/b engine today using the battery overide switch and the red lights did not appear.
On our return to the berth we checked the ec controls in the engine room and there were no fault codes or flashing red lights.
We then started the engines as normal and the red lights flashed 5 times on the s/b engine.
There were no fault codes on the controls in the engine room, just the flashing red lights on both units.
There was a problem with the cable on the port engine but this has been replaced and apart from the red light problem the boat is running well.
