Just back in after a run up the river on my Sealine F33 with I think Volvo DP-E outdrives and there was loads of rubbish floating everywhere, felt I picked something up on one of the legs so when I got berthed lifted them both up as far as they would go and checked for anything caught but both were all clear so dropped them back down to normal then noticed both LCDs were blank and a flashing red light on each, tried to lift them up again but no hydraulics working on either leg but if I press the lower button they did go down and are now fully down and the pressure release valve cuts in but neither leg will attempt to lift, one leg having this problem I could understand but it happening to both at the same time which is strange, anybody got any ideas please.

Thanks Mike

It's very odd that both legs have the same problem, as they are independent systems.

Maybe the debris has jammed or damaged the tilt position sensors? (small toothed black wheel and track at the top of the outdrive helmet).

Agree, very unusual for both to go at the same time. When the legs on my T30 acted the same earlier this year it turned out be faulty connections on the relays. Might be worth checking those.

So you can lean over the back to see whether FlowerPower is right, but in theory, the helmet and position sensor are out of the water, so I think this is unlikely.

I have had the problem that if you turn the ignition key and take it straight to kick the starter motor, sometimes the logic in the position display gets confused.....
Try turning the ignition on, wait for the the electronics to catch up (show -4, rather than A) and then turn to starter.

If that doesn't work,
I go for the leccy problem. clean, vaseline and re-insert the relays on ONE side to see whether there is a difference.
