Volvo drive belt

Hi all,

Does anyone know what causes the serpentine drive belt on a Volvo 4.3 engine to become noisy.
The belt tension seems ok
The engine has done 12 hours

This is probably warranty work, but i am interested to know what is causing the noise just in case they try to charge me to rectify the problem.

check that all the pulleys on the ancillaries are in line first.- put a steel ruller along the faces if possible. After that check the no load resistance of each pulley.
